Project Manager IT (m/f/x) - Midwest US
Within our Operations team, we are looking to hire a team member with a successful track record in IT with a continuous improvement attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), as a listed private equity holding company, acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process. Mutares actively supports its portfolio companies with its own investment and operations teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues ranging from EUR 100 million to EUR 750 million, across various industries. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.
Your Tasks
Drive IT carve-out and separation projects together with local management teams and portfolio companies
Analysis of portfolio companies' data structure, processes and tools, as well as the development of digital target pictures and monitoring of the implementation process
Plan and manage IT budgets of portfolio companies in close collaboration with the Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) and local IT teams
Develop IT governance and audit frameworks and conduct regular IT audits across portfolio companies
Support the M&A team by conducting IT due diligences and assessing IT-related risks and value creation opportunities during acquisition processes
Your Profile
Successfully completed a degree in the area of computer science, economical computer science or similar with outstanding results
At least 4 years of experience in corporate, consulting, or IT-related roles
Experience in at least 3 of the following domains: ERP, IT Architecture, Client/App Management, IT Infrastructure, IT Operations, IT Migration, IT Service Management, with ERP/SAP strongly preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach
Business fluency in English, with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner
Willingness to travel up to 4 days per week (typically Monday – Thursday) and to work in an international environment
