Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), as a listed private equity holding company, acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process. Mutares actively support its portfolio companies with its own investment and operations teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues ranging from EUR 100 million to EUR 750 million, across various industries. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.

Your Tasks

• Design and build internal AI-powered applications and tools using modern development frameworks and the Microsoft Azure ecosystem

• Translate business requirements into fully functional prototypes, web applications, and database-backed systems, with a strong focus on rapid iteration (“vibe coding”)

• Develop and integrate backend services, APIs, and data pipelines to support scalable internal applications

• Support the implementation of AI use cases, including LLM-powered features such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), workflow automation, and intelligent assistants

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and convert them into practical, production-ready solutions

• Contribute to the architecture and deployment of applications on Azure (e.g. App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB)

• Assist in maintaining and improving existing internal tools, ensuring reliability, usability, and performance

Your Profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field

• Strong hands-on programming skills (e.g. Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar), with the ability to quickly build working applications

• Experience or strong interest in building full-stack applications (frontend, backend, and database integration)

• Familiarity with cloud platforms - ideally Microsoft Azure - and modern development practices (APIs, microservices, CI/CD)

• Interest in AI application development, including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and orchestration frameworks (e.g. LangChain, Semantic Kernel)

• Exposure to low-code/no-code tools such as Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) is a plus

• Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to independently translate vague requirements into structured solutions

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with a high degree of ownership

• Business-fluent in English (written and spoken); another European language is a plus
